Lawrence Stroll – Billionaire
Lawrence Stroll (born Lawrence Sheldon Strulovitch; July 1959)[3] is a Canadian billionaire investor, and collector of vintage Ferraris. On the Forbes 2016 list of the world’s billionaires, he was ranked #722 with a net worth of US$2.4 billion.
Early life
He was born to a Jewish family in Montreal, Quebec, the son of Leo Strulovitch.
Career
Stroll invested in bringing Pierre Cardin fashionwear, and then Ralph Lauren clothing, to Canada. Along with Hong Kong investor Silas Chou, Stroll invested in clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger. In the 2000s, Chou and Stroll invested in Asprey & Garrard.
Stroll owns the Canadian racecar circuit Circuit Mont-Tremblant in Quebec’s Laurentian Mountains.
Personal life
Stroll is married to Belgian-born Claire-Anne Stroll (née Callens), who runs a fashion business called Callens. They have two children, and have residences in Geneva, Switzerland as well as on the island of Mustique, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. His son Lance Stroll is a racing driver who competes in the 2017 Formula One season with Williams Martini Racing. Their daughter is Chloe Stroll.
Stroll has a large car collection which mostly consists of Ferraris from all ages from Ferrari 250 GTO to the latest LaFerrari, and owns the Ferrari dealership of Quebec. He also owns others cars such as McLarens, and Ford GT.
