Niagara Falls | Most Beautiful Travel

Niagara Falls is three waterfalls that straddle the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the US state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.

From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the border of the United States and Canada[1] while the American Falls lie entirely on the United States’ side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also on the United States’ side, separated from the American Falls by Luna Island,More info:wiki

My baby boy was about six months old when we took an impromptu trip to Niagara Falls. It was an unplanned trip with an infant, so we expected there to be quite a bit of chaos. Much to our surprise, the trip went off without a hitch and we had an excellent time on our very first family vacation.

It all started in New York City. My husband and I had flown into JFK International with our infant son. Although we were both excited to be in the big city, our little one wasn’t convinced. The sights, sounds, smells, and crowds were just too much for the little guy and he spent most of our first day with tears in his eyes.

While it’s no longer considered the “Honeymoon Capital of the World,” Niagara Falls still lures nearly 30 million visitors a year. The world’s second largest waterfall (which is actually three: the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Canadian Horseshoe Falls) is made up of a mind-bending six million cubic feet of water that plunges every minute over the border between New York and Canada. Whether you stay on American soil or hop over to Ontario for the (arguably) better view, the best hotels near Niagara Falls deliver on convenience—they’re just a short walk away from the resort town’s casinos and attractions—and spectacular overlooks.

Niagara Falls is, confusingly, the name for each of the two resort cities on the US-Canada border around Niagara Falls, the waterfall. Niagara Falls, New York, and Niagara Falls, Ontario, welcome about 30 million visitors between them each year, but this natural wonder is best seen from the Canadian side. View the Falls several different ways in one trip – on foot, from a boat on the rapids, in an antique cable car, or up a tower with a drink in your hand. Then embrace the gaudy kitsch of Clifton Hill and the casinos before eating your way around farm-to-table restaurants that showcase some excellent Ontario produce and wine.
