Long exposure photography or slow shutter photography is increasingly becoming popular for capturing landscapes. This technique involves blurring of the moving objects in a particular array. Moving cars on the roads leave a trail in the picture which makes it alluring. If you are capturing a waterfall, the waves look smoothed giving a nice texture to the image. In long exposure photographs the dark objects usually disappear leaving behind only the bright images.
While there is no standard technique of what comprises in a “long” duration, the general idea is to keep the shutter open for a minimum of 30 seconds. Nonetheless, you are always free to experiment in case of long exposure photography.
